Harris Teeter, a food-market chain, has approximately 13,900 employees spread across 140 retail stores in six states. Originally, all of their HR processes were centralized in their corporate office making the hiring process lengthy. They decided to forego this set-up and distribute the work to the store managers in an effort to cut costs and time. With Lombardi, store managers can now log-in via their own self-service portals and make changes to personnel data and that data is automatically updated in their mainframe system, saving time and eliminating manual effort. With the Geac Connector Foundation to access the Geac Mainframe, their BPM solution was deployed to over 140 users in less than 120 days.
